Digitized copy of Richard Allestree's The Art of Contentment (Oxford, 1675), bearing extensive marks and marginalia in a contemporary hand. The handwritten additions relate to the process of "casting off" pages for a planned new edition of the text; the marginalia indicate marginal notes that would be printed in the new edition. It seems this new edition, or at least a new edition following this copy's specifications, never materialized. Copy held by the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library (UCLA)
